On October 24, 2022, a regular meeting of companies within the AMIA association took place. The Advanced Materials Industrial Association (AMIA) is a group of companies with common goals in the field of basic research. The mission of this proven form of collaboration is to constantly listen to the needs of our industrial partners, enable them to actively influence the directions of our research and build a productive environment and relationships. Our goal is to create a common basis for individual cooperation on specific technical problems of individual companies. AMIA was founded in 2013 as part of the Copernic grant program, the aim and content of which is to support, develop and systematize cooperation between the Technical University of Liberec, research organizations, the business and public sectors. After the end of the Copernic program in 2014, AMIA continues to grow, improving its technological and research background, including a growing membership base, with the aim of becoming the largest Czech university-industrial research association. This event takes place at least once a year and strengthens the relationship between the university and the field of application

Just like last year, a meeting of companies associated in the AMIA consortium took place this year. We presented to the present companies the progress within the project “NETWORKING FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN INTERACTIVE AND SENSITIVE ROBOTICS USING THE BENEFITS OF ADDITIVE PRODUCTION” with a general presentation of the overall concept and two specific topics. Adam Blažek, the manager of the event, presented the overall concept. The first topic was 3D printing of ceramic mateials. My colleague Veronika Truxová, who is on maternity leave at the moment, was represented by her colleague Zuzana Hrubošová, who is developing the topic of 3D ceramic printing further. Dr. Šafka then again presented current trends in 3D. Mr. Blažek was the manager of the event. Finally, there was a very active networking, where representatives of companies showed great interest in cooperation, both based on training, contract research, and in the field of involvement in national or international projects. This was followed by an excursion of company representatives at the Additive Technologies workplace, where Dr. Šafka showed individual technologies and products. As a result, we have succeeded in strengthening long-term ties with companies.
